Anonymous Hacker Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

Internet activists , Jeremy Hammond was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to hacking the server private intelligence company , Stratfor . He also released millions of emails to Wikileaks .Reported Itproportal , Tuesday ( 19/11/2013 ) , Jeremy Hammond 's 28-year -old during the trial claimed to be part of the hacktivist collective Anonymous. The email release is seen as one of the biggest coups Anonymous as ' digital nuclear bomb ' .
Company reportedly has been hired by government agencies to monitor political protesters and activists . This has led Hammond to defend his actions as a form of public service delivery .
In a statement , revealing that Hammond acts of civil disobedience and direct action that makes him punished in accordance with the principles of community and justice that guide his life . He understands
, with breaking into dozens of large companies and government agencies , it is clear conflict with the law .
" But I feel that I have an obligation to use my skills to expose injustice and face . I tried everything from voting , petitions and peaceful protests , " said Hammond .
He added that he believes that sometimes the law must be broken with the right changes . Speaking to the Guardian last week , Hammond said , this is clearly a message to other hacktivist .
" They're obviously trying to send a message to others who come after me . They got a slap , they were embarrassed by Anonymous and they feel that they need to save face , " he concluded .
